Surrounded as we are by the most beautiful countryside & miles of footpaths, Rushmore is an ideal starting point for walkers. Why not leave the car, walk & then come back to the clubhouse for lunch or afternoon tea?

With the stunning countryside & abundant wildlife, Rushmore is a haven for walkers of all ages.

There are many rights of way crossing the estate & the surrounding countryside, but we have also produced a couple of circular walks, starting & finishing at the clubhouse.

The first follows the original park deer fence boundary & can easily be walked in a couple of hours. It crosses the chalk downs to the north of the club & from there enjoys amazing views towards the south coast. You then walk back through the woods, which, at the right time of year, are filled with bluebells.

The second walk is longer, starting by skirting around the edge of the golf course & then heading out through the woods before returning along the Ox Drove, again with spectacular views both north & south.

Both walks are attached here, or can be collected from the clubhouse.
